Client Overview

The client is a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) operating a vast network of 1,500 branches and multiple head offices across three locations. Known for its commitment to operational efficiency, the client required a robust IT infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and data security.

Challenges

The client faced two major challenges that impacted their operations:

  1. Network Visibility:
    Despite having internet and MPLS connectivity across 512 branches secured with firewalls, the client struggled with insufficient visibility into network performance. This lack of insight, especially during link downtimes, caused delays in issue resolution, disrupting branch-level operations.
  2. Centralized Authentication:
    Audit findings revealed the absence of a centralized authentication server. This posed significant risks in access control and security, given the complexity and scale of their network spanning 1,500 branches. Without a centralized system, managing user authentication and ensuring consistent security measures across locations became increasingly difficult.

Our Solution

To address these challenges, Soffit implemented a comprehensive solution tailored to the client’s needs:

➡️ ManageEngine OpManager Deployment:
To enhance network visibility, we deployed the ManageEngine OpManager monitoring tool. This powerful solution provided detailed performance insights for the client’s routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless LAN controllers, servers, VMs, printers, and storage devices. The tool enabled real-time tracking of network health, helping the client quickly identify and resolve issues such as link downtimes and performance bottlenecks.

➡️ Active Directory Implementation:
Following meticulous planning and review, we designed and implemented a centralized active directory (AD) system. This system streamlined access control and improved security measures across all branches and head offices. The AD configuration seamlessly integrated existing systems, creating a cohesive network environment and enabling centralized authentication for enhanced operational efficiency.
